WATCH: 8 Super Bowl commercials worth seeing

Christina Balram | posted Wednesday, Jan 28th, 2015

It’s no surprise that people tune in to watch the Super Bowl because it’s one of the most highly anticipated events of the year, but it also has the best American commercials.

No one really knows why Kim Kardashian is still famous. She can be described as conceded, self-absorbed and taking more selfies than healthy. She is well aware of this and decided to play on it in a clever ad for T-Mobile. Regardless, she makes a valid point.

Old Spice – Terry Crews

There’s no horsing around this time! The Old Spice commercials are iconic and Terry Crews is not letting that stop now. In the newest commercial for the deodorant company, Crews enters into a nightmare wherein he marries himself. This commercial is nothing less than hilarious.

Snickers – Brady Bunch meets ‘Machete’

Snickers has stuck with their tagline of “you’re not you when you’re hungry.” If you have ever watched The Brady Bunch, and know who Danny Trejo is, then this combination is both strange and amazing.

Wix.com #ItsThatEasy

Wix is an American website company that makes it easy for people to create their own web page. This commercial seems to blend in with the rest, but it is worth watching for the plethora of football players.

This commercial with Nick Offerman from the show Parks and Recreation, seems to be a spoof of Clint Eastwood’s “It’s halftime in America” ad. Quite frankly, it’s one of those it’s-so-stupid-it’s-funny type of commercials.

Pizza Hut

In keeping with the football theme, Jets coach Rex Ryan and Cowboys star Tony Romo discuss the issue of crusts being left behind, wasting a perfectly good piece of the pizza due to lack of flavour.

Dove Men

It’s no surprise that majority of the ads airing throughout the Super Bowl are targeted towards men. Most of the commercials are about men being macho figure but this commercial highlights the importance of being a dad that cares about their childeren and family. Definitely tugs at the heart strings.

Bud Light brings Pac Man to life

The best for last. This is one of the coolest commercials among the pack. Everyone is familiar with the iconic game of Pac Man so what’s cooler than being in a real-life version of the game with hundreds of people cheering you on.
