Woman seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle near St. Clair West Village

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle near St. Clair West Village.

Police were called to the scene just after 7 a.m. on Monday at Oakwood and St. Clair Avenue.

The victim, believed to be 60 to 70 years old, was conscious and breathing at the scene and was taken to hospital in non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver involved remained at the scene.

Police have not yet identified the woman and are asking her next-of-kin to contact them. She is described as five feet to five foot four inches, with a thin build and was wearing dark brown corduroy pants, black runners, and white shirt with blue vertical stripes when she was struck.
