Man stabbed aboard Queen streetcar, suspect fled on bicycle

A man was stabbed aboard a TTC streetcar on Queen Street Sunday night.

Police responded to a call for the stabbing in the Queen and John Street area around 10:40 p.m.

They say the victim had gotten off the streetcar but officers found him nearby suffering from stab wounds and bleeding heavily.

His injuries are considered serious but not life threatening.

Police say the suspect also got off the streetcar and fled the scene on a bicycle. Officers are searching the area for the suspect.

The 501 Queen streetcar is detouring via Church Street, King Street West and Spadina Ave. Shuttle buses will be operating.
